Hamiota Feedlot is a quality, custom feedlot located in the HEART of Canada. Our 12,500 head feedlot boasts state-of-the-art nutrition & care.

The land of the area is prime soil consisting of Newdale Clay Loam (undulating phase). It is classified by Manitoba Crop Insurance as Class B6. For Manitoba Agriculture - Soil Capability is all Class 2.

Hamiota Feedlot Ltd. was built in 1998 and is located 3 miles west of Hamiota on PTH #469. The feedlot was built with capacity of 5,000 head and expanded to 12,500 head summer of 2000.

Over our years in the business we have had excellent results starting young calves in feed.

We have rations developed to meet your gain goals and help hold your cost of gain to a minimum.

We use high quality feedstuffs for maximum performance in our excellent growing and finishing diets.

With our efficient size, we attend to the needs of individual cattle. The results: low loss rate, high levels of recovery, improved gain, and increased profit for our clients.

The FeedLot

The Feedlot utilizes locally grown barley and silage as the main feed ingredients. Numbered pens can accommodate either 125 or 250 head of cattle. All pens have concrete feeding pads with concrete waterers and excellent drainage.

Owners and management are involved in the daily running of the facility. Break-even projections, buying and marketing are available to customers. Our customer base includes cattleman from Canada and the United States.
